I've been reading My Struggle, by Karl Ove Knausgård. This quote resonated with me as a metaphor for navigating life.

I shaved my head this morning. Finally. After threatening to do so for probably six years, it's done. I've been waiting for Heather's blessing.

Heather and I just wrapped up a New Year's Eve party at the Danners' house. My parents and Brad Danner also attended. Sydney was away at a sleepover with her friend, Leo, across the street. We played Waveform and Telestrations. Telestrations was a big hit.

A little less than a year after I took up the hobby of board gaming, I learned about Twilight Imperium and set my sights on it. Another year and a half later and I finally got to play it. Super fun! It took 7.5 hours.
